Spotlight Band: You NEED to book them!!!!

The Spotlight band was amazing. From the second the wedding started to the very end people were non stop dancing. The dance floor was never empty and the band members were so friendly and fun! We cannot recommend this band enough. You NEED to book them for your event. Our guests are still talking about the band and will continue to talk about them because of how amazing they were!

Spotlight Band: Incredible!!!!

We worked with Spotlight/Hank Lane Music for our Dec 2023 wedding. Five months later, our guests are STILL raving about how amazing the music was at our event! Spotlight was truly phenomenal, keeping the dance floor full of guests of all ages at every point of the night. They did a great job customizing some of our music selections and interacting with guests the whole night. They were so fun! Leading up to the big day, all the Hank Lane staff was a dream to work with. Kind, professional, responsive, and flexible with every decision. This will be some of the best money spent on your wedding, go with Hank Lane!

Spotlight Band: Truly impressive!!!!

"We had the Spotlight band for our wedding and they were incredible! They brought an unrivaled energy that had people dancing all night and kept a packed dance floor after midnight! There were a number of wow moments throughout the night. Some of our friends who are musicians commented how great Spotlight was. My husband loves Eminem and we weren’t sure about having someone else rap his songs but wow did they do an awesome rendition! The look on my husband’s face when he heard it was priceless. The range of genres they could do was truly impressive. (I love more top 40 and they covered those so well too). We were between two songs for our first dance and they actually ended up playing the other song later in the evening (unplanned). We got a second first dance, it was very special.
Hank Lane is very private with showcasing their bands so it was hard to find anything online that wasn’t produced, which made the decision process tougher, but we’re so glad we selected them! They sounded just as they did in the videos Hank Lane showed us and they kept us going all night! Would highly recommend having the full front line of singers as well and add an extra horn!"

Spotlight Band: "Absolutely Killed It!"

My husband and I are in a wedding band ourselves so choosing a band for our special day was fairly agonizing! We ended up choosing Spotlight after seeing them perform live at a bar show and being totally impressed with their musicianship and "lack of cheesiness" if you know what I mean. They are extremely professional, talented, fun and all such nice people! They are also extremely affordable and are on par with bands that charge over twice as much as they do. They're New Jersey's best kept secret! They made our wedding magical from start to finish! We had their pianist Dane play during our ceremony - he played every song we chose and was excellent! Their jazz duo of piano and sax played cocktail hour and were phenomenal. For the reception we hired the 8-piece version of the band which includes their female singer.

Our guests were not all "dancing people" - but the band managed to do the dance floor hopping all night! Their song choice is great, covering a variety of genres and they learned so many songs for us including our first dance, mother/son, and father/daughter. They absolutely killed the tunes, and it made the night so special and unique! Their front man and emcee, Matt is a PHENOMENAL singer and such a magnetic personality! Hire Spotlight immediately, they will bring so much joy to your big day and you won't have to worry about a thing! They honored every request we had for song choices, and they even let us sing a few tunes with them! We are so thankful we found them and heard nothing but compliments about them all night. We have a lot of musician friends that attended the wedding, and they were all impressed! One of my friends was so impressed that she ended up hiring them for her own wedding this coming fall! It doesn't get any better than that!

Spotlight Band Review: "Dancing the Night Away..!"

We booked Spotlight for our 9/3/22 wedding and WOW! I am still hearing from guests who are raving about our music. They were incredible from start to finish! The music was the perfect mix and everyone had a great time dancing the night away. They were so professional and so talented. The band learned and played all the songs we specially requested. They also helped facilitate a private last dance which was incredibly special & memorable. Please do yourself a favor and book them for your wedding because you will NOT be disappointed. These guys are the real deal! We’ll forever be grateful for the memories made around the dance floor.

Spotlight Band Review: "Flawless!"

We had Matt & Kyle play at our wedding, and they absolutely nailed it! From start to finish, these two executed the entire event flawlessly. Extremely helpful and communicative, they were with us every step of the way! They took the time to work with us and find the best fit for our wedding, and we are so thankful. Matt and Kyle even learned our first dance song choices and performed them live for us, which was unbelievably special. They played an awesome mix of music that had people up on their feet all night! People are still coming to us saying how amazing they sounded. We could not have asked for a better duo to be there for us on our big day. Thank you again guys! You rock <3

"I couldn't recommend them enough!"

We had Kyle and the Spotlight Band at our wedding and we couldn't have been more thrilled with our entire experience! They were so kind and accommodating, even allowing us to rehearse our first dance during cocktail hour, which really calmed our nerves. They listened to all of our guidance and made sure our party fit our personalities perfectly, keeping our parents' generation on the dance floor early in the partv. but once they got tired, switching seamlessly to early 2000s angst, which matched our taste and our friends' vibe perfectly! The band was incredible, providing continuous music throughout our entire wedding, somehow getting a very diverse arrav of quests to all agree, 'the music was great!' One of our quests described our MC as 'The most soulful man in North Jersey!' 

 

I really appreciated how Spotlight adapted their music throughout the party to keen people our friends' vibe perfectly! The band was incredible, providing continuous music throughout our entire wedding, somehow getting a very diverse array of guests to all agree, 'the music was great!'. Even after an extremely long day, the band joined us on the dance floor, singing and dancing alongside us as our party came to an end.

 

True professionals, Hank Lane and Spotlight are vendors you can trust wholeheartedly to make your party incredible. They really were equipped to make our dreams come true. to match and adapt to our style and preferences, and to go above and beyond to make our special requests happen. I couldn't recommend them enough!

Spotlight Band Review: "No One Was Sitting."

I am a music snob and our Hank Lane band Spotlight, was one of the best, most talented bands we/our guests had ever heard...

 

From the horns to the band frontman introducing himself + rocking out in a 90's/2000's, emo/rock power hour at the end, to the soloists singing insane riffs in their ballads while everyone was eating (!!), to the musicians making their way to the dance floor to sing Beyonce along with our guests, everyone in this band made our wedding the party of our lives, which is exactly what we asked for. No one was sitting. One moment that will remain a highlight for us is when we got up "on stage" with the band at the end (with their permission), and we were belting out songs alongside them in front of our guests. Thank you for giving us a moment to feel like absolute rockstars on what was already a special day. We want to go to a live show of yours if you ever do that :) We also booked a DJ for our after party through Hank Lane and again, per our request, no one was sitting. Made the whole room feel like such a fun club, even the waitstaff couldn't help it but dance - and think about how many times they go to weddings?! Truly amazing, can't thank you enough.

Spotlight Band Review on WeddingWire: "EXCEEDED Our Expectations!"

My husband and I are very particular about music and searched high and low for the perfect band for our wedding. After much research, we came across Hank Lane and after meeting with them, we decided to go with their band Spotlight. My husband and I know how important music is to a wedding and how it can really make or break the mood so we had our reservations about the band before heading into the wedding. Spotlight EXCEEDED our expectations and were phenomenal. High energy and some incredibly talented members. As they promised, they had our guests on the dance floor the entire night and people were coming up to us left and right telling us how great the band is. We HIGHLY recommend Hank Lane Music and specifically Spotlight for your wedding!

Spotlight Band on The Knot: "Absolutely Amazing!"

Spotlight Band was absolutely amazing at our wedding. They played all genres and really got the dance party going! The band members interacted with the guests and everyone had so much fun. I had a special request for my Father-Daughter dance and they beyond delivered! They actually altered the words to "Jolly Holiday" to match how my dad used to sing the song when I was a little girl. It was such a special, perfect moment. If you are looking for a great band that will get your guests moving, go with Spotlight! They will not disappoint!

Dear Hank Lane-Spotlight Band,

To me, the two most important aspects of a wedding are the food and the music. Spotlight Band was a home run! Even after reviewing the videos of different bands during selection, we were blown away. We had a guest tell us that he actually stopped during a conversation just to listen to the music and appreciate the artistry. I think that sums up the quality of music at our wedding. Thank you!
