Two Villanova Alums Tied the Knot in Style

THE COUPLE Introduced by a mutual friend in the summer before their final year at Villanova Law School, Amanda Day and Ethan Heller discovered their connection when they met for dinner. Their relationship blossomed over the next two years, culminating in a beautiful engagement at Reid’s Palace, Madeira, Portugal. The moment was breathtaking, marked by a private dinner with exquisite views as a violinist played “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran.
THE DETAILS The wedding took place two years later in June 2025, at TPC Jasna Polana. Guests witnessed a heartfelt ceremony infused with Jewish traditions, including breaking the glass. “As a nod to how we met and our legal careers, we started the ceremony with a reading from a Supreme Court case that beautifully captures marriage and always deeply moves us,” says Amanda. The outdoor amphitheater offered a stunning backdrop, especially when the clouds parted to let sunlight shine down.
THE PARTY The reception in the Travertine room, with its dramatic views and elegant décor, perfectly complemented the couple’s chic black-and-white theme. With 150 guests, the celebration featured lively entertainment by Hank Lane Music, a memorable hora dance and a delicious array of cuisine. Custom cupcakes and other desserts delighted guests, while a food truck provided late-night snacks.
